Hi, I’m Pippy

Meet Pippy - a gentle, sweet soul who's just beginning her journey to trust. Pippy came into care with several other dogs after being trapped by council, and it's unknown how long they had been roaming. Due to this, Pippy is still learning how to feel safe around people and can be very avoidant and unsure, particularly when it comes to touch. Despite this, with calm, passive time and a patient approach, Pippy begins to relax and reveals her affectionate side - she loves gentle cuddles and giving soft kisses on the nose.

Pippy is under-socialised and still developing her confidence in the world around her. She is easily overwhelmed and may need additional support, including medication, for things like vet visits. She is not yet comfortable walking on lead and currently crawls when outside or even around the house when unsure. Because of this, she will need time to fully settle into her new home before any outdoor walks are introduced. Once she's relaxed, very short walks in quiet areas will help slowly build her confidence.

She has shown a love for puzzle toys, enrichment, and squeaky toys - these will be wonderful tools to keep her mind stimulated and help her feel safe. Pippy currently enjoys spending time outdoors but should be allowed indoor/outdoor access so she can build trust and connection with her new family at her own pace.

Pippy would do best in a calm, experienced home with no young children (teens and up only), and would benefit from living with a calm, friendly dog who can offer gentle companionship and guidance. With time, space, and plenty of love, Pippy has so much potential to blossom into a loyal, loving companion.
